Face to Face With Consumers

For the first time ever the Real Estate Council of Alberta (RECA) participated in the Calgary Home and Garden Show.

Over the course of Calgary’s four-day event, RECA staff met and talked to thousands of consumers. The overall goal of RECA’s attendance at such consumer trade shows is to bring about greater awareness of RECA as the standards-setting governing body for real estate and mortgage brokerage licensees in Alberta, and to highlight the independent third-party consumer information that RECA has available about buying and selling real estate and working with authorized industry professionals. RECA staff walked away with a very positive impression of how the show went.

In its 2011-2016 Strategic Plan, Council renewed its commitment to ensuring consumers are aware of the role RECA plays in Alberta’s real estate industry and the high standards that are in place for all authorized industry professionals.

Continuing with this commitment, RECA is also registered as an exhibitor at the Edmonton Home and Garden Show later this month. RECA staff are looking forward to our attendance at the Edmonton event, beginning March 21, 2013. If you’re in the area, stop by booth 1820 and say hi!
